Revolutionising menstrual hygiene with TARA Cup.
IndiDesign crafted an identity for Swtantra Trust’s mission of providing affordable and sanitary menstrual hygiene solutions to women across India. Now TARA Cup is an ambassador that educates and advocates the benefits of a menstrual cup for women, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
The name “TARA”, which means star, celebrates womanhood in all forms and represents the dazzling soul and fire within every woman. But more importantly, it evokes a sense of familiarity that enables women to take the first step in challenging the preconceived notions surrounding menstrual cups.
The dual language identity we designed includes more regional languages, enabling TARA Cup’s messaging to overcome language barriers. The rounded typography and petals represent the product’s softness, while the twirl form represents its flexibility.
We developed a multipack system to include a cotton pouch and a container for safe storage. We also designed a detailed, step-by-step instruction leaflet that makes the product easy to use.
IndiDesign has empowered TARA Cup to challenge the stigmas associated with menstruation and menstrual cups. The brand now empowers women to take control of their menstrual hygiene with affordable and sustainable solutions.
